The Hyacinth Prince - Starlena Belle

No File

poem read by Timothy Arliss OBrien

The Hyacinth Prince
Starlena Belle

beautiful earth,

full and calm

wither this ivy

that plucks the moss.

may your branches,

bark and green,

become soldiers

of decay that claim the land.

soft hyacinth,

tall and free,

bind this soil

that chews the petals.

may your fields,

        open and wild,

run with seabirds

of youth that kiss the shells.
