Engulfed in Grief - Catherine Jones

poem read by Timothy Arliss OBrien

Engulfed in Grief
Catherine Jones

A serpent encapsulating its prey.
Drowning in grief.
Unable to take a full breath.
Disassociated from reality.

Sinking downward to a bowled-over scenario.
Inept to escape the morbid ideation.
Consumed by overwhelming anguish.
