Regret Words - Tom Ward

poem read by Nicholas Yandell

Regret Words
Tom Ward

there is only so much one can really do

about the thing that one has done

it is one's own call to make

when the price is paid

when past is past

and

pain you choose reverberates

no matter how alone you

can get pain you feel

in the boring time

is simply how

you were

taught

to kill

time

so

imagine how one must feel

saying the price is paid

for the thing done did

the past is past, nothing unhid

imagine a world where

you don't have to explain

because no one is asking

for you to feel pain

imagine it's done,

this part of the journey

nothing more to say

but

yes

let's go dancing
