En-Cravings - Taija Sensei

En-Cravings
Taija Sensei
You are what I want and need and crave
Today and today and today.
"Now" is the inopportune timeslot in my head screaming for all the things to be.
A consumption consumed.
Not just TV or food.
Experiences to be carved and claimed into my memories.
It should already be done.
Written off a prophet in stone a Baroque time period ago.
Here and now and foretold.
And all equipped distractions against addictions
mean nothing in the face of Desire.
Objective acquired.
All connotations, negative or other, don't matter.
The present and its gifts live happily divorced from the future.
What has your stop signs accomplished?
A wheel only knows how to turn.
And I yield only for myself.
Red translates to Go;
Yellow's a tool;
Obedience is a fool.
A wait-er's game silently expecting a reward that eloped
with Mr. Future in his picture-perfect suit.
Signatures can be forged;
Scoreboards endorsed;
Advice ignored.
Why be a slave of your dreams of
Myself restraint
When I can marry
This Instant
and the happiness guaranteed when I indulge
in this idea
of this want
of this thing
of this need
of this crave
that satisfies
my every wish
to partake
in the defining trait
of being human.
Give me
My En-Cravings.
