Protest in Pink - Claudia Rojas

Protest in Pink
Claudia Rojas

All colors are made by light; a rainbow

is proof of this. Except for pink:

it doesn’t exist. I mean, pink is magic

like automatic head turns to witness

a woman wreck male-dominated narratives.

Some men would rather believe in mermaids.

Light winks, and my eyes blink.

No more flirting. I desire to run, to run amok.
